Ostraka

Ostraka, the daily cultural investigation

About Ostraka

Ostraka is a free daily cultural investigation game, played in your browser.

How it works

Every day, a famous memory has vanished: a place, a work, a person, an event or an invention. Three short workshops restore its traces. After each trace, you can make a guess: the fewer traces you use, the finer your crest.

Found or not, you leave with the card of the day and its explanation. A game takes a few minutes.

Why “Ostraka”?

In Antiquity, an ostrakon was a fragment of pottery used as a writing surface. The name Ostraka evokes these fragments that preserve traces: in the game, each workshop restores a fragment, and the fragments together piece a memory back together.
